What horrible thing happened to you, Jakob,that you hate both E.T. and Johnny 5? Ah well, perhaps Mandi will someday reignite the spark of joy in you.
As for robots you missed, Huey, Dewey, and Louey from Silent Running; Kryten from Red Dwarf; The Robot from Lost in Space; Ash from Alien(of course he was an android), that stupid talking coat rack from Buck Rogers; and Bender from Futurama all leap to mind. Oh, Mandi, don’t bother with I, Robot. Read The Caves of Steel instead. It’s the first book in Asimov’s robot novels. If you like it, then read the rest. If not, then you need not go further.
